A romantic fantasy novella chock full of intrigue, action, magic, and dangerous decisions.
In a land where magic is a death sentence... an impossible choice.
Devoted Knight Javarin wants nothing more than to serve his goddess and his kingdom. In particular, he lives to guard the quiet, kind Princess Iseris. She's stolen his heart, not that anyone can ever know. Orphan temple boys can't marry royal girls, even if those boys grow up to be knights.
Unfortunately, Iseris secretly commands a mysterious animal magic. The faith of the land demands that any who wield the magic be slain. And who is sworn to carry out the cruel punishment?
Jav and his fellow knights—the Order of the Knights Devoted.
When the crown prince orders Jav to do his duty and murder Iseris, refusing would mean turning his back on his kingdom, his beloved goddess, and the only home he's ever known…
But how can he kill the only woman he's ever loved?
KNIGHT DEVOTED is a sweet, romantic fantasy novella in the Enslaved Chronicles universe. Perfect for fans of forbidden love, sexy men of honor, and brave, smart heroines. It takes place south of the original Enslaved Chronicles trilogy, with new characters.

This was such a good read! A well written, interesting and intriguing novella that pulls you in from the get go. With beautiful and descriptive world building and wonderful characters as we follow their incredible journey and feel their dilemmas and troubles. Gripping and exciting, this was a great read that i throughly enjoyed and look forward to reading more from this universe.
I enjoyed the book honestly. It just abruptly ended. No conclusion, no epilogue, no book that follows just their story. I imagine they may turn up in other books but who knows. For those reasons alone I gave it a 1. How annoying is it to start a book there doesn’t actually have a true ending. Also in case you believe this is a romance, it really isn’t. It’s a story of journey between two people who like each other and that’s it. They kiss once but it’s like one of those awful first kisses. Just FYI
A great read! I could feel the rush of excitement and anxiety of the moments shared between the main characters. I felt the characters were well developed causing one to care for them (heroes) or to dislike them (villains) due to their actions. I will gladly look for the next book in this series.Advanced reader copy received.
Knight Devoted was an interesting read that ended far too quickly. (I had forgotten it was a novella!) The world was compelling and a good set-up (and/or intro) for future stories. I enjoyed the rapport with the two leads. I'm excited to read the other books in the series, although I understand that they're with other characters. I certainly hope there will be more books featuring these two!
Javarin has been trained by warriors and educated by priests. He is a defender of the realm and a servant of the gods. He is sworn to fight mages and to end the corruption of magic. And now ... he must kill a friend. He has seen no evidence of corruption, but his orders are clear. How will he decide between honor and justice, between duty and desire, between faith and mercy? How much can he risk? How much will he dare? How deep is this knight's devotion go? ... and in which direction?***New Readers Welcome*** While Knight Devoted brings us back to the world of the Enslaved Chronicles series of books, you do not have to read the other books to enjoy this one. The events of the other books are only rumors in this one. And there are no spoilers in either direction. This is absolutely a stand-alone story and an excellent jumping-on point. So if you like this book, you can check out the other three.Returning readers from the other books should also enjoy this one. New characters, another kingdom, same struggles, and familiar magic.
